Penny Lane, there is a barber showing photographs

and all the people that come and go stop and say hello.
On the corner is a banker with a motorcar,

Behind the shelter in the middle of a roundabout
a pretty nurse is selling poppies from a tray

En Penny Lane, hay un barbero mostrando fotografías
de cada cabeza que ha tenido el placer de conocer
y toda la gente que va y viene se detiene a saludar.
En la esquina hay un banquero con un coche a motor,
los niños pequeños se ríen de él a sus espaldas
y el banquero nunca usa impermeable
bajo la lluvia torrencial, muy extraño.
Penny Lane está en mis oídos y en mis ojos
allí, bajo los cielos azules de los suburbios

En Penny Lane, hay un bombero con un reloj de arena
y en su bolsillo lleva un retrato de la Reina.
Le gusta mantener limpio su camión de bomberos,
es una máquina limpia.

Detrás del refugio en medio de una rotonda
una guapa enfermera vende amapolas de una bandeja
y aunque se siente como si estuviera en una obra de teatro, lo está de todos modos.
Penny Lane, el barbero afeita a otro cliente.
Vemos al banquero sentado esperando un corte
y, entonces, el bombero entra corriendo
bajo la lluvia torrencial, muy extraño.
